Forklift tynes are strictly governed by safety standards because they are the only thing standing between a heavy load and a catastrophic accident. If your forks show visible surface cracks, bent blades, or uneven tips, they are an immediate "red tag" item. The most common reason for failure isn't a snap, though, it’s wear.
Once a tinewears down by just 10%, its safe lifting capacity is slashed by 20%, making it a legal liability.
Our workshops across Sydney, Brisbane, Central and Sunshine Coasts, provide professional compliance checks to ensure your equipment meets Australian standards, keeping your site safe and your insurance valid.
We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to your mast. The wrong set of forks can throw off your load centre and put unnecessary strain on your hydraulics!
At Forklogic, we help you spec the right tynes based on your specific material handling equipment and the heavy loads you’re moving daily.
Our product range includes:
The industry standard for most electric forklifts. We stock Class 2, 3, and 4 to suit everything from your nimble pallet stackers to the heavy duty trucks in the main warehouse.
Designed for larger, high capacity machines where the forks slide onto a heavy steel bar rather than hooking onto a carriage.
Perfect for handling sensitive stock or slippery plastic pallets where grip is a priority.
Whether you need extra long blades for oversized pallets or thickened profiles for constant high capacity lifting, we can source exactly what your site requires.

Need to handle oversized loads or reach across a double-deep rack? Forklift slippers (or extension tines) are the go to solution for temporary reach. However, they aren't just a "slide-on and forget" accessory.
We supply high quality, Australian standard slippers that are built for durability. The key is speccing the right length; your supporting tynes must be at least 60% of the length of the slipper to maintain structural integrity.
If you're constantly moving deep loads, we might suggest moving away from slippers and upgrading to a dedicated set of long tines to keep your load capacity safe.
You shouldn't wait for a tyne to fail before you look at a replacement. Catching the wear early saves you from dropped loads and red tag safety fines. Grab a torch and a pair of callipers, and keep an eye out for these red flags:
🚩 The 10% Wear Rule
Use a wear gauge or callipers to check the thickness at the "heel" (the bend) of the tyne. If it’s worn down by more than 10% of its original thickness, the lifting capacity is slashed by 20% and it’s legally non-compliant.
🚩 Visible Surface Cracks
Pay close attention to the heel and the hooks that attach to the carriage. Even a tiny hairline crack is a major structural failure waiting to happen.
🚩 Uneven Tyne Tips
If one tip is sitting lower than the other, your tynes are bent or sagging. This puts uneven stress on the carriage and makes it nearly impossible to pick up pallets cleanly.
🚩 Bent or Distorted Blades
Tynes are engineered to be flat. If you notice a visible bow or a twist in the blade, usually from hitting a wall or prying a load, they need to be scrapped immediately.
🚩 Worn or Damaged Lock Pins
If the spring loaded pins that lock your tynes into the carriage are seized, bent, or missing, your forks can slide during a turn. That’s a fast way to tip a load.
🚩 Previous Welding or Heat Marks
If someone has tried to patch up a crack with a welder, the tyne is compromised. Welding tynes is a massive safety violation because it destroys the heat treatment of the steel.
A visual check is a great start, but it won't hold up in a safety audit. At Forklogic, we provide the full compliance testing your site needs to make sure your gear isn't just working, but is actually legal and safe under Australian Standards.
Our inspection service across Sydney, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Central Coastincludes:
✅ Precision Wear Analysis
✅ Crack Detection & Surface Checks

Cutting corners on your tynes is a recipe for a site shutdown. It’s not just about the forks fitting the carriage; it’s about maintaining therated capacity of your forklift.
If you spec a tyne that is too thin or the wrong grade for your machine, you’re doing more than just risking a dropped load. You’re putting massive stress on the mast chains and carriage rollers, which leads to expensive hydraulic failures. Worse yet, if WorkSafe walks onto your site and sees mismatched or patched up equipment, you’re looking at an immediate red tag and a heavy fine.
Getting the right spec from the start keeps your crew safe and your site legal.
Don’t risk your site safety on "near enough" equipment. Whether you need standard forklift tynes for daily tasks or specialist tynes for unique loads, we stock different types to suit all major forklift brands.
From forklift attachments to heavy duty fork extensions, we’ll help you size up the right parts to keep your fleet compliant.
